According to the leak, which comes courtesy of Yogesh Brar and 91Mobiles, OnePlus will release the Nord wristwatch in India with the Nord 3 in the second half of the year – the phone is said to be a significant advance over the Nord 2 and have blazing-fast 150W charging. We don't know what this Nord wearable will be called or what its hardware characteristics will be, but we do know how much it will cost: roughly Rs 5,000-Rs 8,000 ($105), which is a lot less than the OnePlus Watch (currently retailing for Rs 14,000). Given the pricing and what we know about the OnePlus Watch, this Nord-branded smartwatch will most likely run LiteOS rather than Wear OS, which means no access to the Play Store and no compatibility for third-party apps.It should have basic health monitoring capabilities like heart rate measurement, sleep monitoring, step tracking, music control, and activity tracking, similar to other wearables now available in India in the same price range.
So far, OnePlus' wearable collection has not been a big hit.Last year, the BBK-owned business released its first smart band and wristwatch, the OnePlus Band and OnePlus Watch. With smart TVs, wireless earphones, neckbands, and other products, the business is obviously seeking to extend its product line beyond smartphones in India, one of its core markets.
