The Instinct 2 Series of rugged smartwatches with solar technology has been launched by Garmin India, aimed towards explorers and fitness fanatics.The watches will also have multi-GNSS (global navigation satellite system) compatibility, ABC sensors (altimeter, barometer, and compass), and trackback routing to return to a previous location.The Instinct 2 Solar versions, according to Garmin, have an 'infinite battery life' in smartwatch mode and 48-hour battery life in GPS mode.The Instinct 2 watches, according to Garmin, are designed to US Military Standard 810 for heat and shock resistance and are water-resistant to a depth of 100 meters.

Garmin's Connect IQ store allows users to customize their watches with apps, widgets, watch faces, data fields, and more.Users may also SMS their friends and family to keep track of their activities, and the watches' Incident Detection feature can alert them in the case of an emergency.The Instinct 2 Series watch models will also be available in two special editions: a Tactical Edition featuring a Kill Switch, Stealth Mode, Night Vision Goggle Compatibility, Dual Format Position Coordinates, and Jumpmaster Activity mode, and a Camo Edition with graphite patterns.

The base-model Instinct 2S and Instinct 2S Solar will be available in graphite colours for Rs 33,990 and Rs 43,990, respectively, via Garmin brand shops, Amazon, Flipkart, Synergizer, Tata Cliq, Tata Luxury, and other Garmin retail partners.Garmin brand shops, Amazon, Flipkart, Synergizer, Tata Cliq, Tata Luxury, Helios, just In Time, Decathlon-Anubhava in Bengaluru, and other Garmin retail partners sell the Instinct 2, Instinct 2 Solar, and its Camo Edition and Tactical Editions, respectively.Between March 8 and March 13, the watches may be pre-ordered online.The first 100 people who pre-order a watch from the series will receive a free pair of Saucony casual sneakers.
