A major Garmin update has arrived, bringing new features and sports modes to some of the company's most popular devices.The Garmin Fenix 6, as well as the Garmin MARQ and Enduro, will receive the 20.82 upgrade.Many of these features are also available on the Forerunner 245, 745, and 945.

First and foremost, the 20.82 update adds endurance horseback riding capabilities as well as Easyhunt to the DogTracks app for individuals who build scent trails for dogs.If you use any of the Enduro/Fenix 6/MARQ devices, your resting heart rate data will be trued up, ensuring that it is constant across all of your Garmin devices.The guided strength routines have also been revamped. Update for Forerunner 945/745/245.There's a somewhat distinct set of upgrades for the Forerunner family of devices.The forgotten Garmin Forerunner 645, on the other hand, has no fans.

Changes to sleep detection, RHR true-up, and run/idle detection will be made to all 245,745 and 945 models.The 745 and 945 will gain the above-mentioned strength and muscle map enhancements for guided workouts, while the 245 will simply get the free weights UI enhancements.It's still a significant upgrade for a huge percentage of the Garmin sports watch lineup for 2020-21.
