The Fitbit Ace 2 is designed for kids of ages 6 and above. This 2nd generation tracker has a child-proof design with plenty of features and functions. Its got animations for the younger children and a more sophisticated display system for the older kids.

Design

This fitness tracker has a distinctive design that attracts kids. Little ones can choose a tracker with watermelon band and teal clasp or a blue watch with a neon yellow clasp.The touchscreen has a greyscale OLED screen with big and bold icons. This tracker is waterproof up to 50 meters, which means it can be worn even while swimming.A unique feature of the design is that the core module and UI can also be adapted for use with adult fitness trackers. The watch has a screen bumper for added protection.

Setup

The tracker can be paired to the childs phone or parents phone. To pair the phone, you need to first download the Fitbit app. This app is compatible with an Android, Windows, and iOS phones.To start using the app, you need to first create a family account and then create the child account. You also need to assign a Guardian for the account.To choose the watch face, you need to go to the Fitbit app. You can choose from static and dynamic watch faces.

Features

The Fitbit Ace 2 can save up to 7 days of data and daily totals for up to 30 days. If the tracker is synced to your childs phone, then he/she can check call notifications on the wrist. No other notifications or alerts are sent to the tracker.

Compliance

The Fitbit tracker is compliant with the Children's Online Privacy Act (COPPA) and the other child privacy laws. You can check the privacy information on the Fitbit companion app.

Fitness tracking and extras

The tracker has a 3-axis accelerometer that tracks active minutes and steps. It also has automatic sleep tracking. Fun animations like cute monsters, rockets, and badges let the child know theyve reached the fitness goals.This tracker also has sleep tracker that uses motion sensors to automatically detect sleep. You can check the sleep quality, type of sleep and sleep duration in the companion app.The guardian has access to set up additional tracking features such go-to-sleep reminders and sleep schedules. Guardians can also make changes to sleep goals.

Battery life

The battery powers the tracker for up to five days. However, if the tracker has dynamic watch faces, then the battery may last for around 3 to 4 days.
