In China, Honor has introduced its latest Honor Watch GS 3 wristwatch. While there are little specifics on specs and features, the design is undoubtedly impressive.
The announcement was made via an official Weibo post with several photos, which was discovered by GizChina. Honor's smartwatches have mostly been rehashed copies of Huawei's smartwatches, but with the company's sale last year, this appears to be a departure and for the better.
With two crowns and a polished metal casing, the Honor GS 3 is more streamlined than the Huawei Watch 3. The Watch GS 3 undoubtedly catches the eye in terms of thinness and absence of bezel, but these are marketing renderings, so things can (and generally do) appear less spectacular in person. The Weibo post has a variety of straps and finishes, including gold, silver, and gun metal, as well as a variety of leather bands, and has caught our attention.
The only information we have comes from a Weibo post, which states the Watch GS 3 has an "eight-channel PPG heart rate monitor" that is "improved by an AI processor," according to the firm.
We also don't know if the firm will utilize Harmony OS, but we're guessing it will stay with its own operating system. It will be released with a new Honor tablet, which has been given a complete rundown of specifications, so this new GS3 wristwatch retains a sense of intrigue.
Honor has already launched devices in the West and has enjoyed independence in the United States, free of the embargo imposed by its prior owner. So we're optimistic that the Watch GS 3 will arrive in Europe and the United States soon - and we'll keep an eye out for more information.
