Apple has released the third-generation AirPods, which have most of the capabilities of the AirPods Pro but at a lower price point.
The 'next generation AirPods,' also known as the AirPods 3, bridge the gap between the old-style, big-stalk AirPods 2nd Gen and the sleek AirPods Pro, according to Apple.
The new AirPods, however, have the same hard plastic mould as the original AirPods, rather than the Pro's replaceable silicone buds.
This means they won't have the same secure fit, and users won't be able to utilise the Ear Tip Fit Test, which guides you to the right size interchangeable bud for comfort and sound.
Features like Spatial Audio and Dolby Atmos, on the other hand, are turned off, allowing customers to enjoy the extra high-fidelity Apple Music collection that was released earlier this year.
Adaptive EQ, which modifies music depending on the unique fit in your ears, is also included in the 3rd version AirPods.
However, the AirPods 3rd generation lack active noise cancellation, which can be turned on and off, as well as pass-through audio to hear the outside world.
In terms of battery life, it provides six hours of listening time before needing to be recharged from the case, which is an improvement from the AirPods Pro's 4.5 hours, providing four full recharges, for a total of 30 hours of use. Rapid charging means you may receive an hour of playback in only five minutes in the case. Apple has also included MagSafe as well as regular Lightning connection connectivity in the charging case. So, in the end, it all boils down to money. The AirPods will cost Rs. 13,430.
The AirPods Pro cost Rs. 18,682, the AirPods 2nd Gen, which have an older design, cost Rs. 9,678.
