The Meta (Facebook) wristwatch with camera has been leaked.

The change of Facebook's corporate name to Meta was the major news this week, and we now have a look at the Meta wristwatch.Bloomberg's well-connected Mark Gurman posted a photo of the rumoured Facebook watch. The image was discovered by code miner Steve Moser in the Facebook app, and the watch is supposedly codenamed Milan.And, contrary to popular belief, there is a camera on the front. Presumably, the camera will be used for video calling directly from the watch, which is a significant selling point considering that no other smartwatch maker has attempted it. It appears to be a normal smartwatch. One of the prior reports suggested that it will come out from its strap to allow you to capture Instagram photos while on the road, which is possible but doubtful. The wristwatch would join the company's Project Aria AR glasses and Oculus division, all of which would be rebranded Meta.While Robo Zuck and the group were hanging around playing cards, a "smartwatch" made a cameo in the Metaverse presentation, where it was used to summon contacts in the Messenger programme.While the next watch may be a normal smartwatch play, it might provide insight into how Meta/Facebook views smartwatches in the future.Previous speculations said the corporation was working on a Gen 1 project based on Android, with a follow-up in 2023 using its own operating system and platform. Its uncertain where the Meta Milan smartwatch belongs, but its not expect to be seen anytime soon.
