Garmin has officially unveiled the successor to the Forerunner 935 - the Forerunner 945. With updated sports tracking features and extras like payments and music support, this smartwatch is still targeting runners and triathletes. In terms of its rugged good looks, the Garmin Forerunner 945 borrows quite a bit from its predecessor like the same sports tracking profiles, but now with dedicated tracking for skiing, hiking and golf.It offers support for Garmin's Coach training programs with plans for 10k and half marathon races. You can train better for your marathons with this smartwatch. It includes a new Training Load Focus feature that sorts workout data into different categories based on intensity, while Garmin's Running Dynamics Pod sensor adds additional running metrics to your training sessions. Garmin had first introduced the Pulse Ox sensor on its Fenix 5 Plus series. Now this feature is available on the 945 and it will come in handy to measure oxygen saturation. This data together with elevation data will determine how your body is responding to altitudes during extreme training sessions. Another feature that it is inheriting from Fenix 5 Plus is the full-color onboard maps to keep you on the right track. The Forerunner 945 will come equipped with Garmin Pay, a built-in music player as well as support for Spotify and Deezer.The new Menstrual Cycle Tracking feature will come in handy for women athletes who can track their cycle, log their symptoms, and receive fitness tips based on the phase of their cycle. You can buy the Forerunner 945 from 63,000 INR. You can get the smartwatch with a triathlon bundle at 55,000 INR. The bundle includes blue and black silicone bands, HRM-Tri and HRM-Swim monitors.
