The Suunto 5 Peak is a strong mid-range sports watch designed to compete with Garmin and Polar. The Peak, the successor to the Suunto 5, is 41% lighter than its predecessor, weighing just 39g. To put that in perspective, it's a lot lighter than the recently announced Fenix 7X, which weighs in at around 80g. It costs Rs. 24,885, which puts it in competition with the Polar Vantage M2 and Garmin Forerunner 245 and undercuts the Polar Grit X, which is a natural opponent. It has a 43mm casing that is pretty unisex and a silicone 22mm strap that isn't too large on tiny wrists. The display is a low-resolution 1.1-inch 218 x 218 LCD that won't win any awards. However, while the Suunto 9 Peak seeks to be light, it also wants to be powerful in terms of battery life. The GPS tracking includes three power modes, the longest of which is the Performance mode, which lasts 20 hours. It also showcases some of Suunto's most innovative software features. The company's 3D route finding works well with the GPS tracking, and you can obtain turn-by-turn directions right from your wrist. You will also be able to participate in adaptive training programmes.A variety of heart rate-driven health features, such as sleep tracking, stress monitoring, and a recovery/readiness estimate, are available elsewhere, similar to what we've seen on Fitbit, Whoop, and Oura devices. Music is also supported, although only through MP3 rather than streaming services. The Suunto 5 Peak is priced at Rs. 24,885 and is now available in select regions.' However, availability in Europe will grow on 1 February, with a wider release in Spring 2022.
