Release Info and Spec Details of Amazfit Bip 2
, by raj, 1 min reading time
The Amazfit Bip with its Apple Watch-like design and over 30 days of standby battery life was quite a hit when it was launched. This year, Huami is ready with a successor for release. We were able to get our hands on its full specs owing to a pre-sale listing on Geekbuying. In addition to 30 days of battery life, GPS, and a heart rate sensor, you will also get 5ATM water resistance. According to Geekbuying, the Bip 2 features a 1.2-inch display with a 127 x 127 resolution. Considering that the Bip 1 had a 1.28-inch display with a resolution of 176 x 176, we are not clear why Huami is downgrading the display. Geekbuying further lists that the Bip 2 will include a 190 mAh battery, same as the Bip 1. But as per a January report from Xiaomi Today, the Bip 2 was to carry a 200 mAh battery. Either it is a mistake from Geekbuying, or Xiaomi was planning a bigger battery but ultimately decided against it. Looks like the Bip 2 will not have too many physical changes when compared to the original.Price details are still murky. Geekbuying lists the Bip 2 at 8,500 INR but it's likely that Huami will simply charge the same 7,500 INR price. As the Bip 2 already made its way through the FCC, we won't have to wait too long for all the details.
