The second-generation premium triathlon-friendly multisport watch is here! Polar has unveiled the lighter Vantage V2 which comes with a better battery life and a complete set of training, recovery, sleep and smartwatch features. You get the same 40 hours full power GPS battery as the original Vantage V. You can however use the power saving settings (the same that are available in the Polar Grit X) to extend up to 100 hours. FuelWise fuelling recommendations, Hill Splitter training tool and turn-by-turn route guidance powered by Komoot are all available in this model.Detailed Sleep Stages tracking, Training Load Pro and FitSpark workout recommendations are included as well. So what's new? You get a suite of new guided tests for running, cycling and recovery. These active tests are to be followed step-by-step on the watch to help athletes benchmark their fitness progress. Get your maximum aerobic speed and maximum aerobic power with the help of the two running performance tests a maximal (run until exhaustion) and a sub maximal (run and stop before exhaustion) option. The 20, 30-, 40- and 60-minute cycling tests reveal your FPT Value, VO2 Max and your Watts/kg. The leg recovery test is a standard jump test, to assess how well youre recovered at a muscular level, while the results feed into the FitSpark daily workout recommendations. You still get the always-on colour touchscreen display as on the Vantage V. The display includes a one-piece smooth aluminium casing and a new smoother, swappable silicone strap for improved comfort. The v2 is lighter and water resistant to 100m (as opposed tothe original Vantage Vs 30m).You can choose between digital and analog faces, different layouts and a range of colour themes. You also get a new screen that displays a colour-coded overview of your weeks training based on your time spent in each heart rate zone. New smartwatch features include read-only smartphone notifications, 3-day location-based weather updates, music controls for Spotfiy and other smartphone media player apps. The Vantage V2 is priced at 36,500 INR or 39,500 INR with a H10 chest strap. You can pick black, green and grey-lime color options.
