Fitbit has released a new update - Fitbit OS 5.1 - for its wearables OS. The latest update adds functionality to Fitbit Sense and Fitbit Versa 3. Firstly, the SpO2 tracking gets a tweak - till now only if your device was using the SpO2 watch face, will your blood oxygen levels get recorded. But now, you can use any watch face and the chart will record the data.Secondly, now you can replace Alexa with Google Assistant for on-device voice assistance, but as of now only US users can avail this feature. According to Fitbit, the feature will roll out to other countries by the end of this year. You can, of course, continue to use Alexa but in the place of text-based feedback, you will now get voice commands. Lastly, Bluetooth calling is possible, so you can now receive calls from your smartwatch using the on-board speaker and microphone. You can also bounce incoming calls to voicemail. Android users can respond to text messages using their voice. To check if the update is ready, go to the Fitbit app > tap your profile picture > tap your device and look for the pink Update button. If you dont find it, the update is not ready.
