Improved Google Maps on Apple Watch

The Google Maps Apple Watch app was pulled back in 2017 but now an improved version is heading back to the App Store. Finally, Apple Watch users have an alternative to Apple Maps. It took Google three years to bring back the app but it was worth the wait!Though Apple Maps have improved over time since its launch in 2014, the Google Maps remain favorites. You will now get turn-by-turn directions on the wrist. It will also give transit/public transport times and information. You can search for places on your iPhone or choose your favorite locations and then pick up the directions from the smartwatch.Youll get routes for walking, driving as well as transit and cycling. What we don't know yet is whether Google will use the Taptic Engine to deliver directions so that you can navigate without looking at your watch.
