Huawei has released the GT2 Pro with ECG and the Huawei Band 6 Pro.

Huawei has released two new wearables in China, the first to have ECG functionality.

In what is basically an incremental update over the GT 2 Pro, the Huawei Watch GT2 Pro includes ECG technology and body temperature detection in the Huawei Band 6 Pro fitness band.

Until the Huawei Watch 3 with Harmony OS was released earlier this year, the Huawei Watch GT 2 Pro was the company's premier wristwatch for the uninitiated.

A 1.39-inch AMOLED display, sapphire glass, and a titanium casing are included. The basic version is already health-focused, with heart rate, SpO2, stress tracking, and sleep monitoring but the addition of ECG elevates it to the ranks of Apple, Fitbit, Samsung, and Withings' wearables.

It wont arrive in the West anytime soon as ECG wearables require FDA and CE approval before using them. Given that Huawei is effectively prohibited from the United States and its goods aren't officially released there, there's no way it could gain FDA clearance.

European certification is a little more realistic - and has already approved the Withings ECG because Huawei has good sales in Europe.

Temperature tracking on the Band 6 Pro is less interesting and its usefulness is harmed by the fact that it does not assist in establishing normal baselines or provide a long-term picture of trends.

The Band 6 Pro, on the other hand, features a 1.47-inch AMOLED display, as well as heart rate, blood oxygen, sleep monitoring, and stress tracking, as well as a two-week battery life. This makes it one of the most capable fitness trackers available, even if some of its functions lack the same level of research and execution as competitors.

The Huawei Watch GT 2 Pro with ECG will cost CNY 3,088 (Rs. 35,761) when it launches. The Band 6 Pro will cost CNY 449 (Rs. 5,163) in China.

There's no news on whether or not each device will be released to the general public.
