Huami has signed a new deal with Zepp International Ltd, to procure its core assets with the aim to have a better foothold in the market of premium sports products. The California based start-up, Zepp International was found in 2010 and they specialize in using 3D tools and interactive training tools for athletes to extract more out of their training sessions. On the other hand, Huami has been the sole provider of wearable technology to the Chinese giants, Xiaomi. Their use of advanced technology has helped Xiaomi become the largest seller of wearable technology globally. With numbers hitting 30 million in terms of Mi bands, the inexpensive fitness trackers have won the race against Fitbit at large. The Mi Band 3 is the latest addition to their line of wearable fitness trackers and Huami has done an amazing job in packing the new tracker with various appealing features. The likes of a new touchscreen colour display, 50 meters of waterproofing, NFC connectivity and all day heart rate tracking will for sure appeal to more customers in the coming days. Xiaomi is here to stay and the Mi Bands will keep on getting better as time passes.Zepps R&D team will work more with their mature products and eventually aid Huami to get a better insight into the sports analytics area.
