Google Fit on iOS Devices
, by raj, 1 min reading time
You can now use Google Fit with iPhone, Apple Watch and Wear OS smartwatches paired to your Apple smartphone. The health and fitness platform was rebooted last year wherein Move Minutes and Heart Points are tracked instead of steps, making it even more convenient to track your activities through the day.To simplify it for you, Move Minutes is the amount of time you engage in physical activity during the day. It could be a walk, or a yoga session. You win Heart Points for more intense physical activities that gets your heart pumping. Google Fit can tap into the onboard heart rate monitor on Wear OS smartwatches and will detect the change in pace. We don't know if it will work with the Apple Watch. too.It will work similar to the Android Google Fit app but you will not get a Google Fit widget on your iPhone home screen like you do on your android phones as Apples smartphones do not support widgets. You can, of course, track workout sessions and view your tracked activities on the Journal. The Google Fit for iOS app can be downloaded from the Apple App Store.
