Garmin might be preparing to release an improved Venu 2 smartwatch. According to rumours and leaked photographs (below), the Venu will be updated with a third physical button on the casing. The gadget will be known as the Venu 2 Plus, according to Dave Zatz, a tech supporter, and the additional button will be linked to microphone capabilities. This might imply that the Venu 2 Plus has a voice assistant, however this has yet to be confirmed. Furthermore, microphone capabilities may indicate that the Venu 2 Plus will be able to mimic standard wristwatch functions like accepting calls from the wrist. The Venu is Garmin's smartwatch line, which has a full AMOLED display. It's aimed at fitness enthusiasts who have been swayed by the likes of the Apple Watch and Samsung Galaxy Watch 4, but still want to benefit from Garmin's monitoring and analysis. Adding a voice assistant would put it on pace with big-name competition, though how much such features cut through is uncertain. In a poll by CCS Insight, just 29% of respondents regarded utilising a voice assistant as a critical feature of smartwatches.As a result, any future Venu 2 update should focus on expanding on other aspects of the experience.
