It's not Gear S4 that replaces the hugely popular Gear S3, but the latest addition to the popular line of smartwatches from Samsung is the wearable that comes under the Galaxy banner. There have been rumours and speculations surrounding the release and specs but the Unpacked event in New York witnessed the new beast that has 4G connectivity and an astounding 7 days of battery life.Available in three colours and two sizes, the smartwatch will have 360 X 360 pixels of Super AMOLED display and 5 ATM waterproofing among the other features. Though it was anticipated that the Galaxy watch will run on Wear OS platform, to everyones surprise, both the watches will have Tizen OS 4.0 with NFC, Bluetooth as well as WiFi. Sensors include the barometer, heart rate monitor, gyro, ambient light sensor and also accelerometer. The days are near when smartphones will be replaced for the good with smatwatches. As it has 4G support and an impressive battery life, the Galaxy watch might just be the first one to fight smartphones.Taking health and wellness to the next level, the watch will detect when stress is getting the better of you and offer you breathing exercises accordingly. Moreover, it will have 21 outdoor exercises and the ability to track 39 different workouts. There multiple other features like controlling music with Spotify and controlling various devices with SmartThings app.Though as rumoured earlier, the watch will not have blood pressure monitoring but it has a lot of features for users to have fun with. Sitting at 20,000 INR and 35,000 INR for the 42mm and 46mm versions respectively, this is a good catch given the price range.
