Fossil adds advanced smartwatch health features

Fossil is done waiting for Wear OS to up its game and given a major overhaul to its smartwatch offering. The company has added a heavy dose of fitness and wellness features, including heart rate, VO2 Max and battery modes.According to Fossil, its new activity tracking can save 50% battery life while monitoring the usual heart rate and movement metrics. Gen 5 takes advantage of fast charging - you get 80% battery with 50-minutes charging.VO2 Max can be now determined and is estimated from age, gender and resting heart rate. You can now create different battery profiles so that you can turn off features at your discretion for a more personalized experience.Fossil users can also set avatar profile pictures for contacts on the watch. These features will be found on the Fossil Gen 5 Carlyle HR and Julianna HR.
