Smartwatch OS latest edition has Wear OS 3.0, which is one of the biggest updates to this platform. A collaborative effort by Google and Samsung for a new Wear is made possible with Google owned Fitbit .The developers are making efforts to put the weight behind and taking steps for curating new apps for the platform with their renewed interest in Wear OS. Few things that you expect from the Wear OS are that it is the biggest update ever , it is a unified OS with Tizen , wear OS merging together. The first Smartwatches to incorporate wear OS are Galaxy watch 4 and Classic .It has claimed longer battery life and new and improved apps for Wear.

Google has announced that only a handful of devices will get Wear 3.0, while other devics will get a big update for wear 2.0 watches which includes Play store and changes to Tiles. Google will also provide two years of security updates for older platformes.The following devices are confirmed to get Wear OS 3.0, Fossil Gen 6, Michael Kors Access Gen 6, Skagen Gen 6, Tic watch Pro 3, Tic watch Pro3 Ultra GPS, Tic watch E3and Tag Heuer connected calibre E4. Wear OS will be rolled out to existing smarwatches slated for release for 2022. Fossil has also revealed that its watches will also get Wear OS 3.0. Google pixel watch is all set to release in a few months, it has a smartwatch with a rotating , tactile crown and sleek design.The Pixel watch is made of recycled stainless steel, giving it a premium look. Fitbit having the capacity to track fitness elements in a smartwatch, it will also include step and activity tracking 24/7 hart rate and its Active Zone Minutes metric, and ay kind of heart rate complications will be shown on many of the press vendors.

Pixel watch will run on cellular version with a revamped wear 3.0 and UI. A leak by 9to5 Google spotted a cumbersome information about wear OS 3.0. One of the features borrowed from Samsung’s smartwatch platform is the ability to make it easier for designers to create watch faces for wear smartwatches.Google has announced that it will help developers build simple health and fitness services for Wear closely created with Samsung with a focus to create new apps and tap in onboard sensors like heart rate monitors with an aim to preserve battery life. Google Wallet also seems to get a host of nw improvements such as storing tickets, boarding passes vaccine details and payment cards on the wrist.Now you can also configure the Assistant to work without the ‘Hey, google’wake-word and make it listen to common commands eg, turn downstairs light on or play your favorite music.

There is also a new SOS feature which can call quickly an emergency contact.CEO of Fitbit has announced that Fitbit would be powering the fitness tracking experience on the new Wear OS.Offering a glance which looks heavily influenced by the Fitbit’s Versa and Sense smartwatches allowing you to take snapshots of your day including heart rate data and Active Zone Minutes.There is also news of revamped Wear OS apps driving Samsung to jump back in Google for Wear OS. A bunch of rebuilt apps with resemblance of Strava, Adidas Running My Fitness paland Facer.Other apps for wear 3.0 include Spotify, Addidas running, deezer, Youtube Music, google Maps, Calm, Sleep Cycle , Strava and Life Sum.Google also seeks to improve Google maps , which allows you to navigate without your phone as it launches on watches , also improving Google Pay with support for 26 more countries and offer upport to pay for transit on metro systems in the US. There is also possibility of revamping Google Assistant with the arrival of offline syncing for Youtube and Spotify. Google also revealed that it will soon be able to download and install apps directly from Play store phone app.
