Update: The Apple Watch Series 7 has now launched.

 

The next Apple Watch, which we know as the Apple Watch Series 7, has appeared in a regulatory database, indicating that a new wristwatch is on the way.

 

The supposed Apple Watch model numbers which were submitted with the Eurasian Economic Commission in Russia, were discovered initially by Consomac and when gadget model numbers emerge in places like this, it's usually a hint that a launch is on the way.

 

Other than six model numbers, there's no indication of what characteristics they will have, which is predictable. It does, however, imply that, as in past years, there will be many new Watch variants. Its predicted that LTE will come in two sizes and variants and might be a sign that the Apple Watch SE will be followed by a new model. The timing of the database filings also suggests that Apple is planning a formal reveal in September, as previous times.

During the Fall event in September 2020, we saw the Apple Watch Series 6 and the more inexpensive Apple Watch SE for the first time.

 

There's discussion of making room for a larger battery, which would improve Apple's 18-hour battery life since the original Watch. Apple may release a new robust model as well as serious health-monitoring capabilities such as non-invasive glucose and blood pressure monitoring.

 

Its certain that the next Watch will have all of the new software capabilities revealed at Apple's WWDC 21 developer conference earlier this year, including watchOS 8 and the option to upload ID cards and driver licenses to Apple Wallet, as well as a new Mindfulness app, the ability to create Portrait mode watch faces, and the addition of a new home app that will allow you to use the Watch as part of a new intercom function.
