Apple has confirmed the Series 7's release date, with pre-orders beginning on October 8, 2021.
The watch will begin shipping on October 15th, and it will also be available for purchase in Apple Stores. The brand only confirmed that the smartwatch will be available later this Fall' at the launch event in September.
There had been rumours from China that the new display's production methods had created delays, thus the imprecise release date raised concerns that the new Apple Watch may have to wait.
It's excellent news, though, for those waiting for the Apple Watch Series 7, which marks the second design update in the device's history.
To summarize, the Apple Watch case sizes have changed to 41mm and 45mm, respectively, and the bezel has shrunk to to 1.7mm, boosting the screen size by 20% over the Series 6 and SE and by 50% over the previous Series 3.
The screen has also been strengthened, with an IP6X certification providing further dust protection.
Some additional functions have been enabled by the bigger screen. Some watch faces have been changed to make more room on the screen for information. There's also an on-screen keyboard exclusive to the Series 7, implying that the Series 7 is closer to being an iPhone replacement than ever before.
To sum it up, the Series 7 will be priced at 369 (37,518 INR) for the 41mm aluminium model, which is the same as the Series 6 and thus a direct replacement.
