Wi-Fi 6E compatibility for increased bandwidth and low latency is said to be included in Apple's rumored mixed reality headset. Apple is expected to release its first mixed reality headset in the fourth quarter of 2022. In addition to Apple, Ming-Chi Kuo predicts that Meta and Sony will use Wi-Fi 6/6E for their head-mounted displays. According to the latest Kuo investor note, Apple's rumoured AR/VR headset may enable Wi-Fi 6E connectivity to suit the demands of high-end and immersive experiences, according to MacRumors that in order to optimise the wireless experience, head-mounted displays (HMDs) must use the most recent Wi-Fi protocol and in 2022, new HMDs from Meta, Apple, and Sony will all support Wi-Fi 6/6E. Apple will release its first mixed reality headset in Q4 2022, according to the analyst. Meta and Sony, two competitors, are apparently planning to release new headsets in the second half of 2022 and Q2 2022, respectively. The debut of the mixed reality headgear has been delayed, according to Kuo, due to the sophisticated design generating manufacturing speed hurdles. However, those concerns appear to have been resolved, with a launch date set for next year. According to 9to5Mac, who also had access to the investor note, Kuo sees 5G mmWave being used for mixed-reality headsets in the future and stated that the Apple mixed reality headset will not just be marketed as a gaming gadget, but also as a device that can be used for other purposes. Sony's Micro-OLED screens, as well as optical modules, are expected to be used in Apple's mixed reality headgear. It's possible that they'll cost approximately $1,000 (Roughly Rs. 73,000). The headgear may also weigh between 100 and 200 grammes and include inbuilt computer and storage capabilities. It is said to provide a substantially better experience than current VR solutions.
