Eric Careel, co-founder of Withings purchased bought back the digital health business from Nokia last May. Now, the company is launching its first post-Nokia product - the Withings Steel HR Sport. This multisport hybrid smartwatch is a sportier version of the steel HR flagship. In function, this smartwatch pairs heart rate tracking with VO2 Max and the connected GPS.In looks, with the same sub-dials, it is almost similar to the Steel HR. The design features a digital display on top that shows the data and an analog dial at the bottom, which tracks the progress of your activity goals. Subtle tweaks in the new version let us know that it is an updated model. It has red accents on the hour and minute hands, new logo and 5 ATM water proofing. As for the size, it comes in a single size (49g). The perforated sport band is breathable. The Withings Steel HR Sport supports 30 different activities including ice skating, boxing, yoga, volleyball, and rowing. During workout, it tracks your optical heart rate and adds it to the VO2 score. It is the first hybrid sport watch that uses your phones GPS to calculate elevation, pace, and distance and check maps. You can use the Health Mate App to track sleep and also detect length and quality of sleep. It also offers notification support. The battery life is pretty good with 25 days on general use and an extra 20 days if you use the smartwatch in power saving mode. You can get this multisport watch for 42,500 INR on Amazon and Withings website. The watch is available with white or black face and a default grey silicone sort band. The other band options are red silicone and leather.
