The glucose tracking watch slaed to release by 2024 , by the French company Pkvitality has revealed sucess in its clinical trials of its continuous glucose monitor. It has achieved 16% error (MARD) when in its third round of clinical trials for tracking the type 1 and type 2 diabetes.

There still needs to more accuracy for it to get FDA approved though. There are several companies attempting to track glucose non invasively like Rockley Phonetics,Movano with the RF sensor and apple and Fitbit are are allworking towards the development. However, Pkvitality is not totally non invasive as it has micro tips on the back of the watch and it monitors glucose levels continuosly.

The process, though claimed by the company is painless , but the solution isn't that simple as it requires replacing the micro tips every 7 days.The greater aim here is to bring benefit to the greater population without disposable patches.
