The TicWatch Pro 3 Ultra has been leaked online, and two more TicWatch GTH gadgets may be on the way.

 

Images of the box for the Pro 3 Ultra have been posted on the r/WearOS board, displaying a rundown of the new device's headlining specs.

 

The TicWatch Pro 4 is a modest update over the TicWatch Pro 3, with the same Snapdragon Wear 4100 engine and a three-day battery life.

 

Because of the dual layer display, which powers down to a monochrome LCD display when the full AMOLED isn't in use, it still has the longest conventional battery life of any Wear OS device.

 

Afib and new heart characteristics

 

The most noticeable difference from the box photo is that TicWatch Pro 3 Ultra claims to include afib detection, however it's unclear if this is done by ECG or another means.

 

However, XDA Developers has been digging into the Mobvoi app's APK for Version 4.3.0 and has discovered references to new heart health capabilities.

 

It's found references to "TruHR," which implies it's an afib detection approach based on the optical HR sensor. This might be extended to other new devices, such as the TicWatch GTH+ and GTH Pro, which were also discovered in the code.

 

New arterial age characteristics and metrics that reflect the burden on the heart from artery hardening have also been discovered by XDA Developers. So, it appears like Mobvoi's next generation of gadgets will focus heavily on heart health insights.

 

Returning to the TicWatch Pro Ultra, it appears to include a compass in addition to GPS, as well as military-grade 810G ruggedness and 20 exercise modes.

 

In terms of hardware, it appears to be a step forward, but the additional health features have caught our attention. There's no indication on when the TicWatch Pro 3 Ultra or the new GTH gadgets will be available, but we'll keep an eye out.
