Apple has released the preliminary findings of its Heart and Movement Study, which include some fascinating information about Apple Watch users. The Apple Heart and Movement Study, which is being conducted in collaboration with Harvard, is a huge opt-in study of Apple Watch users and their activity and biometric data. It's been ongoing since 2019 and aims to enrol 500,000 people throughout the course of the study's lifespan.It won't be finished until 2024, and it's mostly intended to track chronic ailments but Apple has released some preliminary data to coincide with American Heart Month, which runs from February 2022 to March 2022. Walking, cycling, and running are, unsurprisingly, the most popular kinds of exercise. The age group that was best at closing the green workout ring on Apple Watch was maybe more fascinating. The over 65 age group was the greatest at getting its 150 minutes of weekly activity, rather than the go-getting 30-something weekend warriors. The results provide insight into how many minutes of activity you need for peak levels of fitness for people who were sweating with the Apple Watch and generating significant Cardio Fitness scores. Users with above-average Cardio Fitness (VO2 Max scores of 42-52) exercised for more than 200 minutes each week. Those with high scores (VO2 Max of 53 or above) exercised for over 300 minutes per week on average. For American Heart Month, Apple has announced a new Apple Watch challenge.
