Though Verizon didn’t really do well in the smartwatch segment, it is now focusing on the kid’s smartwatch segment with the GizmoWatch. This smartwatch designed for children of age group 3 to 11 is available in pink and blue. It has LTE connectivity with 2-way voice calling and messaging to get in touch with any of the 10 contacts approved by parents.
The GizmoWatch features a 1.3-inch, 240×240 AMOLED display and comes with standard 22mm interchangeable watch strips. The 510mAh battery offers up to 4 to 7 days of power. Features such as location tracking and GPS-based boundaries allow parents to keep track of the kids. These in-built features send out alerts to GizmoHub companion app, compatible with both iOS and Android, when kids go beyond the marked areas. Parents also have the option to remotely turn off the devices from their phones. The GizmoWatch has many fun features like hopscotch tracker and voice-changing mode. The built-in fitness tracker sends inactivity reminders and helps children stay active.
The Verizon GizmoWatch is on sale from 10th October. It comes with a price tag of 13,000 INR and a one-time activation fee of 2,000 INR. Plus, you will need the 350 INR monthly plan to add contacts and receive calls from approved contacts. Hope the smartwatch for kids fares better than the adult version.
