The ambitious Fossil Group who are not content to sit on the Axial smartwatch that they launched in the last fall, has revealed the new Diesel Fadelite series at CES 2020. The Diesel On, a previous model, was bulky and was not looking that great on thinner wrists. But Fadelite is designed as a unisex smartwatch with reduced size – the technology is packed in a 43mm case.
The watch runs on Google Wear OS and the processor is Snapdragon Wear 3100. But the design of the watch is the true selling point. The 43mm round case may still look a bit large on smaller wrists, but this reduction in size can definitely be considered as a first step in the right direction. There are four versions of Fadelite and all of them feature a transparent strap and a translucent hard shell bezel that fades the colors. Hence the name, Fadelite. Apart from these features, the Wear OS users will have a familiar experience with this watch. The smaller sized, sporty watch is more comfortable to exercise with. It can be paired with GPS and has all the additions that come with Google fitness apps.
Other apps like Google Pay, Google Assistant, Spotify and features like heart rate tracker, customizable watch faces, music control and smartphone notifications are all packed into this. There are other Diesel smartwatches as well that are cheaper than the previous models. The Diesel On Axial costs 26,000 INR. The full Diesel Fadelite range will be released in March at the price of 22,000 INR.
