Following the launch of Huawei’s Watch GT, Honor has announced a smaller and more affordable option – Watch Magic.
Though the Watch Magic looks a lot like the Watch GT, there are differences making it more affordable. Firstly, the Watch Magic has a 1.2-inch 390 x 390 454 x 454 AMOLED display as compared to the 1.39-inch AMOLED on the Watch GT.
The Watch Magic features a 316L stainless steel and plastic 42mm case, while the Watch GT has a 46.5mm case. Compared to the GT’s chunky 10.6mm thickness, it is quite thin at 9.8mm. The Watch Magic works with QuickFit straps too.
The Watch Magic has a 178mAh battery (Watch GT’s has a 420mAh battery) and will be powered by Huawei and Honor’s LiteOS.
The Watch Magic is compact in size but large on features. It features GPS and GLONASS support plus NFC for Huawei Pay. You can take it to the pool as it is rated at 5ATM.
Considering that Honor is Huawei’s more affordable brand, the Watch Magic will be available in India, for about 17,000 INR. You can pick from two color options – “Lava” black and “Moonlight” silver. The “fashion” version is not selectable on Huawei’s Vmall.
The Honor Watch Magic is now available in China and will be launched globally in January 2019.
