While you are busy wondering about the specifications of the new watches coming in hot in the market, we would like to tell you that LG has been granted a new name, “Libre” for their upcoming model. There were tags for LTE and the minds in LetsGoDigital even deduced that the smartwatch will work independently, free from a smartphone.

Previously LG trademarked the name Iconic and Icon and then there were rumours surrounding the launch of LG timepiece with Wear OS touchscreen display. Back in May, an LG watch LM-W315 was spotted and there were people from the company who gave out information about a new smartwatch slated to release in June.

Whatever the deal is, it is very likely that the overdue launch of smartwatches will be met and the Korean giant is going to launch at least one smartwatch, if not more. Since 2017, after the launch of Watch Sport and Watch style, nothing concrete or exciting from LG has hit the markets.

It still remains under speculations as no one knows when it will actually be launched but what we know is Qualcomm is going to release the advanced and dedicated chipset for smartwatches.

A huge number of brands including Google, Fossil, LG is likely to release their new line of smartwatches in the latter half of the year which is an exciting news both for consumers and tech journalists.
