At CES 2019, Kate Spade has unveiled a next-generation smartwatch – the Scallop Smartwatch 2. It is an update on the New York Scallop with heart rate monitoring, 3ATM water resistance, GPS tracking and other exercise-centric features.
The smartwatch will also feature Google Pay, so you can now indulge in paying for your purchases via your wrist. It continues to use Google’s Wear OS though you can expect a few new inclusions in the software features. You can continue to match the watch face with your outfit with the help of the ‘Choose your look’ micro-app. The Scallop Smartwatch 2 still measures 42mm and comes in rose gold or a silver-and-gold cases, though you can pick out new straps and watch dials. The watch will continue to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 2100 chip.
You can pre-order the new smartwatch now, ahead of a full release in late January. The price will range from 21,500 INR – 23,500 INR. We are still awaiting the price details outside of the US though.
